According to the 2024 version of the “Regulations on Human Organ Transplantation and Donation” in my country, it is clearly stipulated that the recipients of living organs are limited to the spouse, direct blood relatives or collateral blood relatives within three generations of the living organ donor. Therefore, Xiao Shuai, who was just a boyfriend and girlfriend at the time, could not donate a kidney to Xiao Mei.

Becoming a legal couple also depends on the conditions. If you have children after marriage, you can donate; if you have not had children after marriage, you must meet the condition of being married for more than 3 years.
